FOOD SCRAPS COLLECTION

Food scraps collection is currently available in urban Papakura and selected streets in Takapuna, Northcote and Milford.

The food scraps service includes:

  • 23 litre food scraps bin for all household food scraps,
  • 6 litre kitchen caddy for your kitchen to collect food scraps.

Council compostable bin liners are not compulsory, if you do choose to use bin liners, only Auckland Council bin liners will be accepted.

Food scraps collections will be rolled out in stages across mainland urban Auckland throughout 2023.
